Baraa Safaa Ali is a man of many talents. Ali is known as one of the most respected flamenco musicians in the Fraser Valley, and a modest man who has a knack for taking his talents to the right places at the right times. In addition to his musical expertise, Ali is known as a respected public speaker. He combines his expertise in music, eight years of stage performance with his ability to inspire, persuade and move people. He was named as one of the top 3 public speakers in British Columbia after winning the International speech contest in District 21 (BC) Toastmasters International in 2010.

Ali’s passion is to help people and businesses get better results by changing the way they communicate with themselves and with others. His expertise is in Management, Negotiations, Conflict Resolution and Personal Productivity and Communications. He knows how to deal with people and give them what they want. Business is people, and if we do not know how to deal with people, then we are not in business at all. In 2010, he was named as one of the most influential people in the city of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada by Abbotsford Newspaper.

Ali has inspired thousands of people throughout the years with his talents in music and speaking. He is a result oriented person who knows how to get the best results using the minimum resources.

Ali used the power of communications to help people and businesses get better results. He is a very successful entrepreneur. He started his first business when he was nine selling pet fish. He always finds new opportunities to do business. When he was 17, Ali shared in a joint venture as a partner in a computer company, after ten years, he is now the Founder and CEO of Big Kahuna Solutions (BKS) developing IT solutions for small and medium businesses.

Community Contributions

Ali has been a highly active member of the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) community. He served as President of the Student Union Society and Director on the UFV Board of Governors. He was recognized for his volunteerism and service to the university at the Student Volunteer Recognition Awards ceremony (2009) and by the UFV Board of Governors (2010).

Giving Back by Volunteering

Ali also received Volunteer of the Year award from Abbotsford Spirit of BC in 2007. He was given the honor of speaking at the UFV Convocation ceremonies in 2010 as the Valedictorian Convocation Speaker. Mr. Ali is a Director of the UFV Alumni Association, and serves on the board of directors as a member at large.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Technology in Iraq, and another Bachelors degree in Computer Information System and Communications from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) in Canada.
